Synergis Launches Cloud Document Platform for Engineering

Engineering teams in safety-critical industries can now manage controlled documents without local servers or VPNs, under a cloud-native platform launched by Synergis Software.

Synergis announced the general availability of Adept Cloud, a SaaS engineering document management platform. It is built for manufacturing, utilities, oil and gas, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and mining, where documentation accuracy affects operational safety, regulatory compliance and project outcomes.

Adept Cloud delivers the full capabilities of the company's Adept platform in a browser-based environment that is hosted, maintained and continuously updated by Synergis. The vendor says the model removes the need for local infrastructure, VPN access or IT overhead.

The platform includes artificial intelligence capabilities built into the environment. Synergis Adept was named to G2's 2026 Best Software Awards as a top 50 CAD and PLM product.

The launch extends engineering document control to organisations that manage large volumes of drawings and technical records but want to avoid running the supporting systems in-house.

"We built Adept Cloud because our customers told us where they needed to go — and we made a commitment to get them there,” said Kristen Tomasic, President, Synergis Software.

"What we built isn't just a cloud version of Adept. It's a modern, cloud-native platform - architected for the security, reliability, and scalability that asset-intensive organizations require for the decade ahead. Adept Cloud is also where we'll continue to innovate - AI is built in, with more to come."
